Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath undertook an aerial survey of flood-affected areas in Shravasti on Thursday, addressing the dire situation caused by heavy rainfall across the state. The CM also personally distributed relief materials to affected residents and inspected flood relief camps before departing for Balrampur later in the day.
Jal Shakti Minister Swatantra Dev Singh highlighted, "Due to heavy rainfall in Nepal, Uttarakhand, and Uttar Pradesh over the past 4-5 days, a flood-like situation has emerged affecting 12 districts." He emphasized the government's proactive stance, with officials working tirelessly to mitigate the impact. Recent reports confirmed two fatalities due to drowning in floodwaters, underscoring the severity of the crisis.
